This photograph shows Mayella and Mr.Bob Ewell in the court room during trial. This was taking place because they had accused Tom Robinson of rape. It is important because this event had changed the views of Jem, and Dill. It opened their eyes up to the truth of the 1930's Maycomb disease. Mr. Ewell was also accused through the trial as the one who beat Mayella and blamed Tom to cover it up. Though there was evidence proving it, Tom was found guilty since he was black.

This picture shows a form of entertainment throughout the 1930's. This shows two people dancing, as you can tell from their face expressions dancing makes them really happy. This proves the point that dancing was used to brighten people's moods through the rough struggles they went through during this time.

This photograph shows Scout and Atticus reading, this was something they did quite often and was important. Because of this reading habit, Scout was told to stop by her teachers, the reason for this was because it was advancing her far ahead. They also changed the learning routine around and for Scout to keep reading so much was seen as bad. This was a major way that Atticus and Scout connected throughout the novel, and during these times Scout asked many mandatory questions involving the trial.
This is a picture of Atticus getting ready to shoot down the mad dog. Atticus was known as "One-Shot Finch" because he had the best aim in town. Behind is Mr. Heck Tate who was the one who told Atticus to shoot the dog for him, he gave the gun to him knowing he wouldn't miss. Jem and Scout were very surprised when they saw Atticus shoot the dog on the first try.

This is a picture of the scene in the front of the jail cell, when a bunch of people came to visit Tom Robinson and Atticus was there to protect him. In this scene Scout also talked the folks into leaving without causing any trouble. It wasn't clear why all of them arrived, but it was obviously not good for Tom Robinson. It, was important because it showed what kind of people they were. Like Atticus said if they can be disarmed by a 9 year old than they really are just humans.
